Oh myy~ I had been searching for at least one Greek here! And finally I've met one of them..!~ Y'know, I was to Greece [Crete] last month, it was my first time when I could hear your language clearly, a v-very interesting one. And even though I talked to local people in English, I had learned several Greek words too there xDD
One thing is quite strange, Ukrainian alphabet came from your country.. but we still can't read yours correctly o__0 I was glad that the name Ελλάδα has similar letters to ours [Еллада] and is readable xD
omg rly?? I want to go to crete so much. XD I probably will someday . ovo what words did they learn you to say ?? XD I'm pretty sure our english accent failed
Really ?? I didn't know . You learn something new every day on the net XD.We do this with english letters because the pronounciation and letters are a bit similar to ours XD. Like you did with the title. But because it's the worldwide spoken language we know to read them
Soo, that seems you live in continental Greece?) Heh... we actually lived in the hotel, so the most frequently spoken words there were the ones like: 'kalimera, kalispera, ohi, ne, efharisto' etc. xDD We even used them speaking with the receptionists.
In fact you're right, the accent was very obvious, but lots of local people were so talkative, I understood their English perfectly [Omh, one more thing I want to note.. listening to your language, all the time we compared it with the Spanish one o__0' dunno why! Both of them are so similar for us in pronunciation o0' But I'm sure the words are completely different.. but.. still!] By the way, not only the alphabet - our religion came from your country. That's really interesting.. we have visited a lot of your churches, and we felt so good, knowing that we were standing on the land where our religion had come from o____0
Yep XD in the most populated city of Greece. LOL XDD this is so fun having someone from another country write in greeklish words XD( writing greek words using english letters is greeklish) .It must had been a fun vacation ?? XDD
LOL yeah we tend to be talkative XDD. And no way spanish is nothing like our language XDD . I believe they speak faster than us .And I don't really think the pronounciation is similar .
Uuuh must had been exciting ovo ! I''ve visited so many churches and museums (they just never end :I they are infinite) that I've gotten bored of them XD. I'm more excited when they take me to places like Olympia ovo where the first olympics happened. And you see the broken colums and all the other things XD.
Yeah x) I am forced to do so, since I don't know how your words must be written and I actually don't have the Greek alphabet on my keyboard xDD I am able to understand only a half of your alphabet x) Ohh, yepp! We had real fun there, it's true! I wanna visit continental Greece as well in future; my parents adore being there o___0' But never took me there with themselves. Here are a few photos from Crete I took on different days --> [link]
Da-amn, I'm sorry x''D But I swear! For my ears Greek and Spanish is somehow similar xD So, I'm very glad that a real Greek person has told me about big difference between their pronounciations ^ ^'''' I'm glad to know it from now on! Guess it might be the same as comparing Russian with Kazakh x')
OmG.. I love columns :____: While traveling around Cyprus we had visited so many of them! And amphitheatres .___. how amazing they are!... ;_____; Dunno why, but I feel very good standing on steps of an amphitheatre.. as if you are touching the ancientry ~ ♥
It's okay ovo greeklish is okay too XD. And above all for some reason our letter compared to other countries seem so caligraphic. Like wth why D: ??
D: your parents didn't take you with them ?? shame on them. They should have. And amgg you visited Κνοσό I always read about it in books and the pictures on the walls . It must had been awesome!!
XDD glad I helped!! And Russian is such a pretty language ovo .I so want to learn how to speak Russian. Kazakh I don't know what it is -w-
At the ancient ruins when we are they are always these big signs saying "DON'T TOUCH" and they only make me want to touch them more LOL.Yeah amphitheatres are awesome ovo the last one I went was the one near Acropolis XD. We didn't get to sit there. But it was awesome the grass behind was also making this wavy thing that happens in anime when there's wind LOL.
Meaniwhile I was replying while chasing a mosquito.
Oh, I talked about cats as my favorite animals, and what about those narwhals, that was my first time I had drawn them o0' Such a strange animals in my opinion! Before drawing Iceland with narwhals I had read a bit about them..
